Marianne was born and raised in Philadelphia, PA. She attended LaSalle University, graduating with a B.S. in Marketing. After college, she went to work at The Vanguard Group in Valley Forge for 12 years, serving in both Client Services and Institutional Operations, with various roles in the management of technology development and budgeting.
While working at VGI, Marianne began investing in residential real estate with a focus on student rentals around Westchester University. After building her own portfolio of multi-unit buildings, she transitioned to assisting other buyers in the purchasing of investment real estate.
In 2011, Marianne decided it was time to head to a warmer climate, so she left behind the long, cold winters of the northeast for the long, hot summers of Charleston! Over the years, she’s managed to assimilate into the local way of life while still maintaining some of her Philly street cred. Her favorite activities outside of work include walking the beach, pampering her dogs, and keeping track of her three children.
David grew up on the Alabama Gulf Coast, living in Mobile and later Gulf Shores before moving upstate to Tuscaloosa for several years. He attended the University of South Alabama in Mobile, graduating with a BS in Psychology in 1995 and an MS in Clinical Psychology in 1997.
After graduating from USA, David worked 15+ years in the media sales side of the publishing business, with stints in both B2C and B2B publishing. During this time, his client roster included a number of Fortune 500 companies including Chevron, Goodyear, and TravelCenters of America. Switching gears from sales to marketing, David worked with several national and international outdoor and lifestyle brands, creating marketing initiatives and social media strategies for brand identity and positioning, audience development, database growth and management, product launches, and ongoing sales programs.
Since moving to the Charleston area in 2010, David has become an avid business networker and lover of oyster roasts! He enjoys exploring the many historic sites in the area, taste-testing as many restaurants as possible, and trying to stay relevant with his three children.
